A Dhaka court has granted a three-day remand to BNP leader Advocate Makbol Hossain, who was arrested in a case for obstructing police work during a clash between students of Dhaka College and traders of New Market.
He was produced in the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court on Saturday (April 23). Inspector of New Market Police Station Haldar Arpit Tagore filed a petition seeking a seven-day remand for Mokbul to investigate the case properly.
After the hearing, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mamunur Rashid granted him a three-day remand.
The detective police on Friday arrested Mokbul Hossain, the main accused in the case filed over the student-trader clashes in New Market area of the capital.
